Armoires
Challenge: This customer’s built-in entryway closet was neither functional nor attractive. Older style sliding doors came off their track, and were difficult to operate. And the closet space took up a significant part of the entryway.
Solution: Free-standing Armoires are a great alternative to traditional closets. Jim Finseth removed the existing closet, and added hardwood flooring and crown molding around the ceiling to expand and match the interior hallway. Then he designed and built a custom armoire designed to fit new space. The armoire features solid walnut, clear finished doors, drawers, handles, and crown molding. The upper part of the armoire includes a rack for garments, and the bottom includes two drawers. Item of interest: The walnut came from trees harvested from the homeowner’s great grandparent’s 1865 homestead farm.
Result: Functional furniture that looks and performs better than an existing closet.
