Challenge: This homeowner designed a master bath with a unique floor plan that incorporated neo angled walls. The two-sink vanity needed to fit between two non-parallel walls.
Solution: Jim Finseth ordered a custom quartz top and backsplash that was made to order for this specific installation. He crafted custom cove moldings to dress up the edges of the solid surface. The sinks were “undermounted,” and recessed below the countertop. Jim built custom cabinets using naturally dried and seasoned solid walnut. Cabinet doors feature “fingerpull” edges requiring no hardware. Jim finished the cabinet doors and frames using a natural “catalyzed lacquer finish” that included 35% solids to withstand the moisture and temperature changes found in a functional bath.
Result: Jim’s customer was delighted in the final product. The owners enjoy the maintenance free surface and finish of the natural wood.
