Buffets
Challenge: This customer had previously commissioned the construction of a custom 10 foot dining room table, offering comfortable seating for 12 people. They were looking for a nine foot buffet to complement the longer table as well as kitchen cabinets. But finding a nine-foot bureau proved to be impossible.
Solution: Jim Finseth designed and built a custom nine-foot buffet. He began with hand-harvested Cherry with a natural finish for the top and face frame. He constructed the buffet using mortise and tenant joints for strength. The doors and drawers use recessed finger-pull edges, eliminating the need for hardware.
Result: Customer summed up Jim’s work with one word: “Perfect.”
