Challenge: This customer was constructing a new home. During construction she wanted to separate the dining room and living room with floating box beams.
Solution: Jim Finseth designed, built, and installed custom box beams above the dining room. He used natural, hand-harvested Cherry for the bottom and sides of each beam, and included plywood tops so electricity could be supplied without distracting the view from above.
Result: This was Jim’s first project for the homeowners. They were delighted in Jim’s work, and hired him to design and install custom cabinetry in the new home’s kitchen, baths, living room, master bedroom, and recreation room bar. See portfolio for more photos of this home.
