Fireplace Mantels
Challenge: This customer was building a new home. The design included a fireplace and custom mantel, with hand-carved corbels. But the fireplace needed to be constructed before the mantel was mounted, presenting an uneven surface.
Solution: Jim designed and built an oversized connector that would accept the custom mantel and corbels after the fireplace was constructed. It ensured that the mantel would always be true and level, presenting a stronger solution over traditional installations.
Result: When mantel was installed, the corbels connected seamlessly. The solution fits the space exactly as customer envisioned.
